I have spent many years as a classroom teacher and in management and I know about the pressures which teachers and other staff who work with children feel - that they have to deliver the absolute best they can for children and young people. I understand the drive which good teachers and head teachers have and the toll which that can take on their resilience and energy.

There is perhaps no other job which involves such an emotional pull as teaching ... which can give a huge amount of satisfaction but which can sometimes feel as though it takes everything you can possibly give!
